The
photographic developing process involves many
types of chemicals. Many of the common processes
used generate hazardous waste. For example spent
fixer often contains silver, which is regulated
under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
(RCRA). Unused chemicals such as stop bath are
acidic, and are also regulated under RCRA.
